Banrigh (Ch Drawing Down the Moon to Cusidh) has won Best in Show at the Deerhound Club Open Breed Show in Norwich. What an amazing result. We attended our first breed show in 1994 in East Grinstead with Bran (Cusidh Bran Madadh Mor) and Bracken (Cusidh Colly Moon) from our first litter out of Fernwood Sound of Ryan x Ardkinglas Pattie. We never expected then to actually have a dog to compete for the top honours. Also doing well were Cusidh Homecoming (3rd in Yearling Dog), Cusidh Righ Innse Gall (2nd Postgraduate Dog) and Cusidh Perchance to Dream (2nd Undergraduate Bitch). These youngsters also managed a 1st in Brace and Team. The show was in a wonderful venue and was brilliantly organised. Thank you to the Judges Mr Robin Spencer, Mrs Penny Redmond and Mrs Jean Rhodes, the organisers and for all the good wishes received.
More pictures to follow but here's Banrigh taking it all in.

The final event on the Saturday was the Breed Show dinner and prize giving and here are Claire and Elise with the Judge Mrs Penny Redmond receiving some wonderful trophies for BIS. Banrigh also won that evening the Enterkine Evita Cup which is the club's annual trophy for the best Deerhound over 5 years old.
Finally the parade of champions, brace and team
We were delighted to participate in the parade of champions on the Sunday morning. Here's Banrigh enjoying the occasion.

The winners from Saturday aren't permitted to compete on the Sunday so a new recruit to replace Banrigh had to be found - Ronan. He competed with his half brother and sister Righ and Rashie for the first time in team. The brace were brother and sister duo Righ and Rashie.
First up a spot of last minute practice.
